The strikes follow several attacks on Amazon Web Services data centers, with two hit by drone strikes in the UAE and a third damaged in Bahrain. The strikes, which were retaliation for a bombing campaign by the US and Israel, have caused ongoing outages at Amazon's ME-CENTRAL-1 and ME-SOUTH-1 cloud regions.
After the attacks by the U.S. and Israel on Iran triggered a new war in the Middle East, Hezbollah launched missiles and drones into Israel Monday for the first time in over a year, and Israel has retaliated with bombardment of southern Lebanon and Beirut’s southern suburbs.
U.S. and Israeli military officials say launches from Iran have declined as their attacks have taken out ballistic missiles, launchers and drones. Israel’s Homefront Command announced it was easing restrictions that closed workplaces nationwide, which could reopen Thursday if there is a shelter nearby. Schools would remain closed.
