Many people assume all bees are friendly and gentle. This is not the case! Some queens rear some very aggressive bees! These bees in particular come from Florida and are likely in part Africanized and therefore more aggressive. Even smoking them doesn’t calm these bees, and although it can be frustrating working with such angry hives, they usually are much more efficient at gathering pollen and honey.
