Winter sports enthusiasts hit the slopes at Taos Ski Valley Friday (Jan. 9) to enjoy the 10-13 inches of fresh snow that — finally, after a month-long dry spell — covered the Enchanted Circle late last week. It was a much-needed boost for ski areas and a critical addition to the snowpack that North Central New Mexico and communities downstream rely on in the warmer months.
