Not your everyday mouse! 🐭 Let us introduce the Spinifex hopping mouse, a very small, native Aussie mouse that hops like a kangaroo! They have large eyes that help them see in the dark and quick reflexes to hop away from predators. They are one of the smallest mammals at the Zoo, and you find them inside our nguwing nura - Nocturnal Country... but shhh.. keep your voices low and no flash photography as they, and the rest of our night dwelling friends, are very sensitive to light. #ForTheWild #h
