A new Star Explosion called a supernova has been spotted in the Pinwheel galaxy. I pointed my telescope at the galaxy and found it here. If I compared it to the picture I captured of the galaxy 2 years ago, it's easy to see out stand out. At 21 million light-years away, this is the closest supernova in a decade. I captured this with my Celestron RASA (8-inch) telescope, ZWO ASI533MC color camera, and an Optolong L-Pro filter. #astronomy #cosmos #dark #milkyway #natgeo #nebula #nightsky #outerspa
